Twitter wants a billion users, and it's prepared to sacrifice developers to get there
With the announcement of its new API changes, Twitter did what it felt to be the absolute best thing for the vast majority of its users and for its future as a business. Twitter swung the axe to prepare for its growth from hundreds of millions of users to billions of users.
